SOC 2 is an audit framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to evaluate how organizations protect customer data. Cognichip's examination was performed by Advantage Partners, a CPA firm specializing in SOC 2 and compliance audits for technology companies, which independently confirmed our controls meet the strict Type II standards.
We pursued this at the earliest stage of our company because ACI works directly inside the design environments and IP that define our customers' competitive edge. Chip designs are among the most targeted intellectual property in the world, and semiconductor teams shouldn't have to treat AI infrastructure as a lower security bar than the rest of their supply chain.
That standard shows up directly in how ACI is built: strict per-tenant data segregation, tightly scoped and monitored access, encryption of data in transit and at rest, and a contractual and architectural guarantee that customer design data is never used to train Cognichip's or any third-party's models. It's the same rigor semiconductor teams already expect from every other vendor touching their design data — applied to AI infrastructure from the start.
